Overview

The TOZ-34 is one of the starting primary weapons, the others being the AKS-74U and the MP5. At first glance, it appears to be a scattergun; however, it fires 12 gauge slugs and has a fairly powerful scope attachment, making this weapon a makeshift sniper rifle in effect. The TOZ-34 has a high recoil and extreme rate of fire, as well as a noticeable bullet drop. It is suitable for long distance firefights, as well as emergency close combat, where you only need to connect one of two shots to kill an unarmored person. Due to the two round clip and small reserve, it is not very practical for sustained close range combat.

The TOZ-34 is the earliest long-range weapon the player will have access to until they get the G3, SVD, VSS, Scout, or open a unique container (or get lucky with a regular.) All of these are somewhat difficult to get, at least for a beginner.
